Annual Reporting of Foreign Nationals in the Philippines [Infographic]

Are you a foreigner working or residing in the Philippines? Do you hold a valid Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR I-Card)? If so, you are required to REPORT IN PERSON to the Bureau of Immigration (BI) within January 2 and March 1, 2022.  

CAN I BE EXEMPTED FROM PERSONALLY APPEARING TO BI’S OFFICE?

If you satisfy any of the following conditions, you can qualify for exemption from personal appearance: 

  • Below 14 years old
  • 65 years old or above
  • Mentally or physically incapacitated*  
  • Pregnant or sick**

*PWD ID must be presented

**A Medical Certificate issued by the OB-Gyne or the hospital where you are confined must be presented; with a one-week advance written request for exemption duly-approved by the ARD Chief.

WHAT ARE THE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS? 

For those who must personally report to BI’s office: 

  • Original ACR I-Card of cardholders or original paper-based ACR
  • Valid passport
  • Re-stamping of the new Republic Act (RA) No. 7919 security visa imprint***  

For those exempted from personal appearance and can file their application through an authorized representative:

  • Original ACR I-Card of cardholders or original paper-based ACR
  • Valid passport
  • Special Power of Attorney (SPA) with valid government-issued ID of the authorized representative

***Applicable only to RA 7919 visa holders 

WHAT IS THE APPLICATION PROCESS?

STEP 1

Present your original ACR I-Card or paper-based ACR, passport visa page of latest arrival, and official receipts of previous Annual Report payment

STEP 2

Secure the Order of Payment Slip

STEP 3

Pay the required immigration fees

STEP 4

Get the Official Receipt

WHEN CAN I APPLY?

The Annual Report 2022 will be held from January 2 to March 1, 2022 and is NON-EXTENDIBLE

WHERE CAN I FILE MY APPLICATION?

You can file your application in BI’s Main Office in Intramuros, Manila or the nearest participating BI satellite office in your area. 

WHAT ARE THE PENALTIES FOR LATE COMPLIANCE?

A fine of 200 PER MONTH will be imposed for late compliance. Non-compliance may result in administrative penalties or non-eligibility for renewal of visa. 

NOTE: If you are a dual citizen and not subject to the ACR I-Card requirement, you are exempted from the entire process.
