BI Releases Advisory on Renewal Applications for BI Accreditation in the Philippines
The Bureau of Immigration (BI), in a public advisory dated June 29, addresses concerns of Accredited Private Entities (APEs) on the submission deadline for accreditation requirements. BI took into consideration the appeal for deadline extension given the circumstances that the current BI Accreditation expired on June 30, and compliance processes have been hampered due to quarantine restrictions.
ON THE ISSUANCE OF ONE (1) YEAR BI ACCREDITATION
APEs may be issued a full BI Accreditations valid from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, provided that they fulfill the following:
- Filed the renewal application within June 1-30, 2020
- Fully-accomplished documentary requirements
ON THE ISSUANCE OF PROVISIONAL AUTHORITY
APEs may be issued six (6) months Provisional Authority (PA) valid from July 1, 2020 to December 31, 2020, provided that they are eligible for the following:
- Filed the renewal application
- Submitted incomplete documentary requirements due to quarantine restrictions
This case is subject to the following:
- Payment for Express Lane Fee
- Submission of an Undertaking to present the complete documentary requirements
ON ALLOWED BI TRANSACTIONS
APEs with either of the following shall be allowed to transact with BI starting July 1, 2020:
- Full BI Accreditation
- Provisional Authority
Transactions shall be secured through the BI Appointment System.
ON LATE FILING OF RENEWAL APPLICATIONS
APEs shall be given one (1) month, from July 1 to 31, 2020, to fulfill late filing of renewal applications PROVIDED THAT THEIR ACCREDITATION EXPIRED ON JUNE 30, 2020.

- BI Appointment System
