ANZCHAM MMM: BIR Assestments
Atty. Monina Velasco, Senior Associate lawyer of Carpo Law & Associates, discussed various tax remedies and general defenses for common tax issues in the “MMM: Get Your Company Ready for BIR Assessments”, hosted by Australian-New Zealand Chamber of Commerce Philippines (ANZCHAM) in partnership with Austrade. The event was supported by InCorp Philippines, and SyCip Gorres Velayo & Co. (SGV), held last October 8 at Tower Club, PhilamLife Tower, Makati City.
Atty. Velasco expounded the tax issues such as disallowed expenses for failure to withhodld tax, VAT on under-declared expenses, and others, followed by reminders and tips in handling BIR audits.
